JAS Club

JAS Club = Jesus At School is held on Monday lunch time at Holy Trinity Primary School Eight Ash Green and on Tuesday lunch time at Fordham Primary School.Every week local children have the opportunity to take part in the Jesus At School Club. This is a voluntary activity encouraging children to learn about Jesus from the Bible. It is presented in a creative fun way including games, Bible stories, quizzes, crafts and songs. This is organised by a group of local Christians called the JAS Club Team. For more details please contact Mrs Ruth Reynolds the Church School’s Worker.

421 Club

‘421’ is our youth group for 11-18 year olds. We meet on Friday nights between 7.30 and 9.00pm in the John Owen Barn. Please see our Youth ministry page for more details.

Colchester Soup run

Along with a number of other local churches, we are involved with the nightly provision of soup and food for the homeless in Colchester town centre. It works on a simple rota basis – two church ‘teams’ work together. One makes soup or sandwiches at home during the afternoon, while the other team collects the prepared items for distribution in Colchester town centre from 7.50pm (finishing promptly at 9pm). Strict guidelines are followed to ensure that each evening is trouble free, enjoyable and smooth-running. Those who participate on behalf of the church must be over 16 and a Christian.

We always need more volunteers to go on the rota. If you’d like to find out more, please contact the church office or Alistair Grote (the co-ordinator).

Parents, Babies & Toddlers

We Meet every Tuesday morning during term time  9.30am to 11.30am in the John Owen Barn,  for playtime, craft activities, singing and stories.

Prayer Focus

This is our key meeting of the month – the spiritual powerhouse of the church’s life! On the Thursday after the first Sunday of every month we meet for our church prayer meeting in the John Owen Barn. We meet from 7.45pm, with coffee, tea and cakes being served and then start praying at 8.00pm. Each section usually has a few minutes of introduction as news is shared, and then we either pray as a large group, or break into smaller groups. There is no expectation for everyone to pray out loud, but we can all add our Amen. Do come along!
