We are pleased to announce the good news that the Revd Francis Blight was licensed by the bishop of Chelmsford as the Associate Minister for All Saints Fordham with Eight Ash Green, on Thursday 13th June.

Francis comes to us from the Church of England’s European Diocese where he served for six and a half years in the Chaplaincy of Christ Church, Amsterdam. During this time his primary work has been leading one of the chaplaincy’s four congregations in a town called Heiloo, 40km north of Amsterdam.

At his licensing Francis publicly declared his commitment to proclaim afresh the unique faith revealed in the Old and New Testament Scriptures. He is looking forward to working with the church community to continue the steady ongoing work of teaching and living out the gospel of Jesus Christ in the parish and region.

Francis is married to Georgina and they have three children: Tom (12), Sam (11) and Zoë (9). We ask for your prayers for Francis and his family as they begin life in the parish and start to get to know people in the local community.
